Abstract
Optically pure allyl alcohols have been prepared from tosylhydrazones derived from chiral epoxy aldehydes by alkylative elimination utilizing alkyl magnesium reagents. α, β-Epoxy tosylhydrazones undergo alkylative fragmentation in the presence of alkyl magnesium reagents to yield the chiral-(E)-allyl alcohols.
