Abstract

The fluorescent emission color of copper nanoclusters has been tuned to give four different species, namely blue, cyan, green and orange-red emitting nanoclusters in the eco-friendly solvent water, using a bioactive peptide as a stabilizing agent. Orange-red emitting nanoclusters with a high Stokes shift and non-cytotoxic nature have been used for imaging of cancer cells.
