Abstract

Excess molar volumes of binary mixtures of benzene+n-propylbenzene, +n-butylbenzene and +n-hexylbenzene at 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15 K have been determined using a vibrating-tube densimeter. Flory's theory of liquid mixtures has been used to calculate excess enthapies; the calculated values for equimolar mixtures are compared with our previously published experimental results.
