Abstract
Genetic diversity smong forty eight Vigna genotypes Including 29 Vigna rediata, 6 Vigna rediata var. subiobala, 3 Vigna sylvestrls, 4 Vlgna mungo, 2 Vigna unguiculata, 3 Vigna umballata and 1 Vigna trllobala was studied using molecular marksrs. A total of 144 alleles were amplified using 17ISSR,7URP snd 4SSR msrkers. PIC value renged from 0.04 to 0.85. Dendrogrsm based on Jaccard similarity coefficient and UPGMA analysis revealed seven clusters. Cluster I comprised 2 accessions of Vigna unguiculata. Cluster II Included three accessions of Vigna umballata. Vigna mungo and Its wild relative Vigna sylvestrls were grouped in cluster III. Cluster IV, V and VI comprised of Vigna radiata and Vigna radiata var. sublobala sccessions. Sole sccesslon of Vigna trllobata was grouped In cluster VII. The compsrlson of studied msrker systems revealed high marksr Index for URP Indicating their SUitability In anslysls of Inter and Intra spacific diversity. Furthermore, the nsrrow genetic base of studied mungbesn cultivara/germplasm lines as evident from cluster V snd VI emphsized the need for broadening of genetic bsse of cultivated mungbean using wild and related species.
