Abstract
A few di- and triorganotin(1V) derivatives of the Schiff base (H2L) derived from salicylaldehyde and thiosemicarbazide have been synthesised by the reaction of the corresponding di- and triorganotin(IV) chlorides with the sodium salt of salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone in the desired molar ratios. These derivatives have been characterised by elemental analyses, molecular weights, conductivity measurements, IR and NMR (1H, 13C and 119Sn) spectral studies.
