Abstract
A new strategy for seven-membered nitrogen containing cyclic carbonates and thionocarbonates has been developed. 5,6-Diaryl-1,3,4,7-dioxadiazopin-2-ones 3a-d and -2-thiones 4a-d are prepared in one-pot from vicinal dioximes 1a-d and ethyl chloroformate or carbon disulfide, respectively in good yields via dianion intermediates 2a-d.
