Abstract
A benign and efficient synthesis of naphthodiazacrown ethers was described. Reaction of a simple dialdehyde precursor with α,ω-diamines followed by NaBH4 redn. led to 16- to 27-membered naphthodiazacrown ethers in 80-90% yields.
