Abstract
A CAD model used to calculate accurately the input impedance of a probe‐fed inverted microstrip circular patch (IMCP) antenna is proposed. This alleviates the existing lacunae of design information for IMCPs. The accuracy of the proposed theory is verified experimentally for various antenna parameters and resonating modes.
