Abstract

A catalyst-free regioselective synthesis of 2-iminothiazolidines has been achieved by reacting unactivated aziridines with aroyl isothiocyanates at ambient temperature in 100% atom economy via a domino ring opening cyclization. The present protocol operates under solvent free conditions as well as in the absence of any catalyst making it a greener and ecofriendly approach.
