Abstract
This paper deals with the analysis, design and DSP based hardware implementation of four different topologies of high frequency isolated AC-DC converters in discontinuous current mode (DCM) of operation used for power quality improvement at input AC mains. The design equations, modeling, simulated and experimental results of these AC-DC converters are presented for their performance evaluation. Modeling and simulation is carried out in a standard PSIM software environment. The obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness in improving the power quality at AC mains.
