Abstract
This paper proposes a multi-objective SPV (Solar Photovoltaic) system integrated to 3P4W (Three Phase Four Wire) distribution network by using DMSI (Digital Multistage Interpolation) based technique. In addition to the power exchange from SPV to the 3P4W grid, a 4-leg VSC (Voltage Source Converter) is used as a power conditioning unit, therefore, it is named as multi-objective. For good utilization of SPV array, it is necessary to obtain the peak energy from the SPV array. To fulfill this objective, a P and O (Perturb and Observe) based MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technique is used. Whereas, to control the grid integrated VSC, a DMSI based control technique is proposed. Moreover, proposed technique is also used for mitigation of grid neutral current, harmonics of load currents, power factor improvement and load balancing. The proposed SPV system has used a SPV feed forward term to reduce the burden on the PI (Proportional Integrator) controller and improves the dynamic response due to atmospheric changes. The SPV system has been verified the control experimentally under different operating conditions.
