Abstract
The most recent developments in Pd-catalyzed asymmetric syntheses of diamines by using phosphoramidite ligands offer promising avenues to access chiral diamines. The molecular-level insights on the transfer of chiral information from axially chiral binol-derived phosphoramidites to diamine products in Pd-catalyzed asymmetric diamination are presented. Through DFT studies, the origin of stereo- and regioselectivities in the asymmetric diamination of dienes is established.
