Abstract

The abstraction of harmonic and reactive current component in a grid interconnected photovoltaic (PV) system is proposed in this work. The proposed approach is based on triangular function which is useful in signal processing and provides harmonics and reactive current detection to estimate reference current to control grid interconnected PV system. The proposed method is modeled and implemented in order to meet the grid requirements such as power quality (PQ) improvement, distortion free signals etc. The proposed technique for a three phase grid interconnected PV system is used to perform multi functions including, improved power quality, abstraction of maximum power from a given SPV array and feeding extracted solar PV power into the distribution system. Test as well as simulation results are vetted desirable performance of the proposed.
