Abstract
In this article I summarize the physics potential of future atmospheric neutrino detectors. I consider two types of detectors – magnetized iron calorimeter pursued by the INO collaboration and a large volume liquid argon time projection chamber. I discuss the hierarchy and octant sensitivity in these detectors in view of moderately large values of θ13 measured by reactor experiments.
