Abstract

Reduced CoO-MgO catalysts (Co/Mg mole ratio = 1-10) show high activity and selectivity in oxidative conversion of methane to carbon monoxide and hydrogen with extremely high space-time-yield at low temperatures ( ≤700°C, down to 300 °C).
