Abstract
A systematic investigation of the interfacial and solution properties of a series of triblock amphiphiles with the general formula C16EO20Cn′, n′ = 0−16, indicates that flowerlike micelles are formed only when n′ ≥ 8. This is consistent with the thermodynamic calculations of the free energy of looping.
