Abstract
In this paper, an integrated model is presented that enhances the features of the earlier models to simultaneously address stochastic variations in reservoir inflow and command area rainfall in arriving at reservoir release decisions. The stochastic variation of inflows is addressed through the inflow transition probabilities, and the rainfall variation is included through unconditional probabilities. The model application is demonstrated with the case study of an irrigation reservoir in Karnataka.
