Abstract
The existing equivalent circuit model of space-harmonic coupled-cavity slow-wave structures was extended to model structures with double slots and tapered or step-tapered ferrules. This model was validated by comparing its results for dispersion and total impedance characteristics of typical slow-wave structures operating in S-band, with those obtained by computer simulation using the 3D Maxwell equation solver MAFIA∗. This model was also validated with the experimental results of a particular double-slot structure at S-band.
