Abstract

We report on the simultaneous measurement of the ac susceptibility and the electrical in a single crystal of 2H-NbSe2 (Tc≈6K), in the Peak Effect (PE) is usually not observable in bulk response for Hdc<30mT. We note that the attempts to transport sub-critical currents indeed change the state of order in the vortex state prior to the PE and influence its dection in ac susceptibility response. Futher, details of the PE as revealed by χ’(T) data differ from those in R(T) response.
