Abstract

We report surface superconductivity, crossover from multi-quanta vortex state to Abrikosov's Lattice and peak effect observed in a single crystal of Ca3Ir4Sn13. We present the magnetic phase diagram of Ca3Ir4Sn13. The observation of surface superconductivity at low as well as high fields differentiates the phase diagram of this compound from that of another low Tc superconductor Ca3Ir4Sn13 belonging to the same family of ternary stannides.
