Abstract

Using 57Fe Mössbauer Effect and 59Co NMR in the system Fe3−xCoxAl, we show that Co substitutes preferentially the Fe at the (A, C) sites in the Heusler (L21) structure. The transition metal moment and the hyperfine field is seen to be very intensitive to the local environment.
