Abstract
2-Propyl-1-naphthol has been prepared by the Clemmenson Redduction of 2-propionyl-1-naphthol, the simple derivatives of which have been described. Bromination and nitration of 2-propionyl-1-naphthol under various conditions have been studied, and the constitution of the resulting products has been determined.
