Abstract

As the poles and zeros of a sharp cutoff filter are expected to be clustered around band edges and in close proximity of the unit circle, the sensitivity problem of such filters are linked with their bandwidth. Analysis of the sensitivity characteristics of some of the well-known low sensitivity structures revealed their inadequacy to encompass the entire range of bandwidth for sharp cutoff filters. Some new structures are presented to fill the gap.
