Abstract

A study of the seismicity of Hindukush and Delhi Region has been made for the last five years earthquakes. An epicentral map showing all the epicentres of earthquakes (M>2) has been prepared for the area. A histogram showing number of shocks versus months has also been prepared which gives a clear picture of seismic activity in the region. Energy-magnitude, frequency-magnitude and frequency-energy relationships have been obtained to find out the value of constantsp andq, An analysis of such diagrams shows that seismic coefficient, c=(1+q)/p is a good approximation for measuring the level of seismicity of any area.
