Abstract

BaTl0.5Sb0.5O3 has been synthesized for the first time and has a perovskite-related structure. Neutron diffraction studies show that this compound is isostructural to BaPbO3. Solid solutions of the type BaTl0.5+xSb0.5-xO3-x are also prepared for x values up to 0.5; electrical measurements showed that all the compounds are semiconducting.
