Abstract

The effect of different light intensities on acetylene reducing activity and nitrogenase-catalysed H2-production by the heterocystous, nitrogen-fixing cyanobacterium, Anabaena sp. (strain CA) was studied. Light intensity markedly affected both the activities. Light had no effect on H2 uptake activity.
