Abstract

The AMS facility around the 3 MV Pelletron accelerator at the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, has become operational and will shortly be used for routine radiocarbon measurements. We have recently carried out some measurements with oxalic acid standards (HOxI and HOxII) and have obtained 14C/12C ratios to an accuracy close to 1%. A brief report on the facility including the graphite system together with some data obtained on standards, blanks and two FIRI samples are presented and discussed.
