Abstract

A brief review of the crystal structure and multiferroic nature of pureBiFeO3 and 0.9BiFeO3-0.1BaTiO3 (BF-0.1BT) is presented. An atomic level evidence for magnetoelectric coupling of intrinsic multiferroic origin in BF-0.1BT is presented.
