Abstract

Methane can be over bifunctional zeolite catalysts at low temperatures (≤ 600 ° C) and non-oxidatively activated converted into higher hydrocarbons (see diagram): gasoline from methane. Per mole of methanol can be as one mole of methane converted. This approach could lead to an economic technology for the commercial conversion of methane into liquid hydrocarbons.
