Abstract

The poisoning effect of thiophene, dichloroethane and heavy metal compounds on the catalytic activity of Raney nickel has been investigated and the catalytic activity correlated with the poison concentration. The poisoning occurs in the following order: Hg(II)-chloride > Zn-ace- tate> Hg(II)-acetate > dichloroethane > thiophene > > Pb-acetate.
