Abstract

We have calculated the equivalent widths of the bands (A - X), (B - X), (C - X), (D - X), (E - X) and (F - X) of CH and (A - X) of CH+ for 3°K and various number densities. We have discussed briefly the method of determining the values of the Franck-Condon factors from astrophysical observations. The method is applied to the observed equivalent widths of CH+ and H2.
