Abstract
The reaction of N-acylisatins1a-1d with o-aminophenol gives the benzoxazinones 3a-3d. With o-aminothiophenol, 1a and1b give a mixture of products from which were isolated 2f, 3d,3e, 5a, 6 and 7.
