Abstract

A powder neutron study of the low-temperature phases in LiKSO4 confirms the transition scheme P63→P31c→Cc (β=90°) in the range 300-380 K proposed earlier from a twinned crystal neutron study and rules out the scheme P63→P63mc→P63 proposed by a recent X-ray study. It also shows that monoclinic Cc symmetry persists down to 100 K with β changing to 89°.
