An integrated strategy for food security in developing countries

Abstract

Under the auspices of the 93rd Indian Science Congress–a broad-spectrum annual gathering of Indian scientists–and as a part of the event ‘Science, and the U.N. Millennium Development Goals,’ this author organized a panel discussion entitled ‘Biophysical and socioeconomic dimensions of food security in the developing countries,’ which was held on 6 January 2006 at Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad, India.
