Abstract

A nonlinear control law based on internal model control incorporating an adaptive mechanism is obtained for a three-dimensional nonisothermal consecutive reaction in a CSTR. This model system provides typical process situations requiring ervo and regulatory control in the presence of load disturbance, noise, process-model mismatch and deterministic chaos. The performance of the controller is validated by simulation studies.
