Abstract

Volume integrals of the imaginary part of the neutron optical potential are computed using the existing phenomenological analyses for A = 10-238. These results are in accord with the Jeukenne-Lejeune-Mahaux (JLM) model which employs Reid's hard core interaction. The integrals for neutrons and protons are also fitted with an empirical expression having an isovector dependence.
