Abstract

The effect of dipole polarizability (α0) of 7Li due to its cluster structure has been determined from a high precision elastic scattering measurement of 7Li on 208Pb, over a range of energies from Elab=18-28 MeV(VCoul≈30 MeV). Continuum discretized coupled channel (CDCC) calculations have been performed to describe the measured elastic scattering data.
