Abstract

Magnetic measurements on high-quality single crystal and Nd-, La-, and Lu-doped polycrystalline samples of superconducting compound CeRu2 are reported. Results with Nd doping clearly indicate that large electronic mean free path is not a necessary condition for the occurrence of anomalous superconducting phenomena near Hc2 in this compound. The enhanced paramagnetic susceptibility, on the other hand, certainly plays a key role.
