Abstract

The compounds (CO)6Fe2Se2{μ-HC=C(C=CR)} (R=Me (1) or n-Bu (2) and {(CO)6Fe2Se2}2{μ-HC=C(C=CR)} (R=Me (3) or n-Bu (4)) have been obtained by room-temperature reactions of Fe2(CO)6(μ-Se2) with HC-CC-CR. Compound1 Os3(CO)10(NCMe)2 to give (CO)6Fe2Se2(μ-HC=CC=CCH3OS3(CO)10 (5). The structure of compounds 1, 3 and 5 have been established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies.
