Abstract
Dibenzbezididedi-imidochloride on condensation with ethyl sodiomalonate yields a product which gives a derivative of 6 : 6'-diquinolyl on heating. Di-imidochlorides from the benzoyl derivatives of m- and p- phenylenediamine give phenanthroline derivatives on similar treatment.
