Abstract
isoFlavones are obtained, in some instances in satisfactory yield, by the action of formanilide or formamide on benzyl o-hydroxyphenyl ketones. 2-Substitutes isoflavones can be prepared by heating o- acyloxyphenyl benzyl ketones.
