Abstract

In a system of high-density excitons modeled as a system of anharmonic oscillators we demonstrate the (a) existence of the field-induced transparency, (b) changes in the dispersion characteristics, (c) the possibility of probe gain due to the presence of the pump laser, and (d) the possibility of gain enhancement in regions close to the bistability critical points.
