Abstract

Absolute total cross-sections have been measured for electron-capture reactions involving ground-state N2+· ions and H2 molecules in the 0.5-5.0 keV energy range. Translational energy spectroscopy of the product ions has enabled identification of the principal quantum states populated by N+ ions and has allowed determination of partial, state-identified electron-capture cross-sections.
