Some questions pertaining to the emergence of a self-organizing system during prebiotic evolution are discussed. An early integration of RNA and protein synthesizing components into a nucleoprotein complex is suggested as a plausible basis for a coherent evolution of a spatiotemporal order comprising the structural and functional organization.
