Abstract

The effect of external bias on random walks (RWs) on self-avoiding walks (on square lattices) in the presence of 'bridges' is studied by Monte Carlo simulation. The qualitative as well as quantitative features of the latter problem are compared and contrasted with those of RWs on percolation clusters in the presence of external bias.
