Abstract

The b and c quarks compete with each other in the decays of the Bc-meson. We show how one can obtain reliable signals of c→s decay in the Bc system in order to calculate the relative strengths of the two types of decays. This, we argue, can be done by considering the decay Bc→Bs(Bs)lν̅l, followed by semileptonic decays of the Bs. We suggest looking for like-sign dileptons together with a Ds at the BTeV or LHC-B experiments, and show that such signals can be made background-free by suitable event selection.
