Abstract

A quantum analogue of the transition from regular to chaotic motion in the Hénon-Heiles oscillator has been studied using the quantum theory of motion in the spirit of the de Broglie-Bohm causal interpretation of quantum mechanics. The time evolution of various quantities exhibits easily discernible changes associated with this transition.
