Abstract

We report susceptibility, resistivity and the heat capacity measurements on the alloys Sc0.8U0.2Pd3Bx for x = 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3. We find the alloys are single phase upto x ≈ 0.3 and retain the cubic structure of the parent compound (x = 0). The lattice expands by alloying with boron. The non-Fermi liquid behavior reported in the literature for x = 0 persists in x = 0.1 but is absent in x = 0.2 and 0.3 at least down to 1.4 K.
