Abstract

The effect of Cr and Fe impurities on the superconducting transition temperature (Tc) of A-15 Nb76Au24 and Ti75Sb25 has been studied. The decrease of Tc with impurity concentration (x) and the small variation of normal state susceptibility with temperature suggests that Cr and Fe form nonmagnetic resonant states in A-15 Nb76Au24. The dependence of Tc on x agrees very well with Kaiser's theory. In the case of Ti75Sb25, the initial decrease of Tc due to these impurities is quite small and it seems to saturate for higher impurity concentration.
