Abstract

Five coumarins, angelicin, oroselol, lomatin, selinidin and vaginidin, have been isolated from the petroleum ether extract of the roots of Selinum vaginatum. The structure of the new coumarins selinidin and vaginidin have been established by spectral studies and chemical degradation to known compounds.
